W.O.A International’s music marketing division has joined hands with our parent Co. W.O.A Records to offer Indie artists LICENSING DEALS and DISTRIBUTION DEALS for their music exclusively for the region of India.

LICENSING DEAL DETAILS:

A Licensing deal consists of W.O.A Records licensing your album

for the region of India for a period of 5 years. The Licensing deal entails the label manufacturing the album (CDs) and distributing the album (CDs) across the region of India to all major retail outlets in India. The major stores and all A Class Stores that your album will be available in across India are similar to Tower & HMV  etc in the UK & US.

The artist (Licensor) will receive the standard prevailing licensing fee per album sold at the end of every financial year and the Label (Licensee) handles all manufacturing, distribution, basic marketing and getting your album across all A Class stores in India.

All copyrights remain with the artist in this licensing deal and the licensing agreement is for the region of India only. The artist is free to license and distribute their music across any other region other than India.

To avail of the licensing deal all an artist has to do is select the Licensing deal service in the FEE section of the Submissions Page and pay the Licensing Deal fee from the FEE’s Drop Down Menu on the submissions page. This fee is a service we take for seeting up the licensing deal for your music.

On completion of the above step the standard licensing deal agreement will be sent to you and the A&R rep will take you through the steps to be followed for your album to be in stores within a few weeks all across India.

DISTRIBUTION DEAL DETAILS:

Artists can now also avail of a distribution deal like any record label. The artist is charged a service fee by W.O.A International and a distribution deal is set up for the artist where the artist’s album is distributed across India via the W.O.A Distribution division alongside all other WOA titles to all A Class stores in India.

Unlike the Licensing deal described above - the Distribution deal does not consist of a licensing agreement for 5 years and the artust signs a direct distribution deal with the W.O.A Distribution Div.

The artist will receive all monies for their album sales after deducting the distributors cut from the album’s MRP (Maximum Retail Price). The distributors fee includes all deductions of the retailers percentage, taxes, Octroi, Shipping, etc.

On signing the distribution deal the artist has to send in a minimum of 500 packed CDs to the W.O.A Offices in India. All costs associated with sending CDs to the WOA Offices are to be borne by the artist and all other costs are handled by the distributor from there on.

To avail of the distribution deal go to the SUBMISSIONS Page and pay the Distribution Deal in the FEE’s drop down menu. This fee is the service charge for setting up the distribution deal for the artist. On paying this fee a W.O.A A&R Rep will be in touch with you and send over all relevant distribution agreements and other details to set up the distribution deal.
